Space Canoe Records (SCR) is a small, independent label based in Columbus, Ohio defining a new sound: Country & Midwestern.
A blue collar effort by a diverse community of artists, SCR connects Appalachian traditions to today’s American heartland by releasing kick-ass Country, Folk, and Bluegrass music.
More than just music
At its heart, SCR is a record label. But it’s also band of multi-talented creatives who are passionate about celebrating local culture, telling stories, and helping others tell theirs.
SCR’s growing documentary division produces short films and podcasts about ordinary people in rural communities doing extraordinary things.
When not onstage or in the studio, guitarist Wes Crow (The Hen and the Crow, Gilded Sun) is SCR’s in-house luthier and guitar instrument repair man!
SCR offers an array of freelance services including recording & production, photography & videography, and studio/live session musicians for hire!
